Keeping Jazz Alive and Thriving in Texas

Founded by musician Kris Kimura, Texas Jazz Society is a 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to preserve and promote jazz music. Guided by its mission, Texas Jazz Society entertains, educates, supports, preserves, and honors the tradition of jazz music through performances, clinics, and masterclasses.

To keep jazz alive and thriving, Texas Jazz Society has partnered with Parker Jazz Club to provide an avenue for jazz musicians to earn working wages while sharing their art. Our nonprofit also hosts educational performance opportunities for youth from area schools to experience professional musicianship in a live music venue, as well as masterclasses for musicians at all levels.

Further spreading the love of jazz, Texas Jazz Society organizes musicians to provide musical performances and social visits to area nursing homes, assisted living centers, and retirement communities.

Texas Jazz Society is steadfast in its commitment to supporting talented musicians and sharing jazz with the next generation of great performers and to those who have loved the music for decades.
